At the office, very often we have to answer the following question from our patients: ‘’If we proceed to place dental implants, will I be able to have teeth immediately or should I wait for months in order for them to integrate first?’’… Naturally, the answer depends on several factors (for example anatomical ones or even factors related to each patient’s general medical history). However, in many cases this answer is positive! Indeed, in these cases we can place temporary prosthetic teeth on the newly placed dental implants immediately (usually within one day from the implant placements) with great success rates (similar to the ones related to implants restored 2-3 months after their placement). Furthermore, this immediate fabrication of temporary prosthetic teeth can be combined with implants placed immediately after a tooth’s extraction, all in one stage.
When all the patient-related requirements for immediate implant loading are met, the ‘’key’’ of success is in the careful and comprehensive pre-surgical planning, as well as in all the clinical steps that are necessary for the accurate execution of this plan. It’s more than clear that everything depends on your doctor’s knowledge and skills, that will be reflected in a series of correct choices which will result in a simple, fast, painless and predictable implant treatment.
In our clinic, for almost three decades now, we use on a daily basis the concepts of immediate implant placement and loading with maximum precision and safety, treating even the most complex cases in the most ideal way. The use of the most advanced, cutting-edge digital technologies for planning and computer guided implant surgery are at the service of our patients, giving us the opportunity to practice Implantology, and Dentistry in general, in the most optimal way possible.
